12 Days of Christmas: Day 11. Gift Wrapping
Updated: Jan 26, 2020
Clean lines, smoothed out paper, invisible tape and a pretty bow.
Like doing my makeup and washing dishes, I find that the process of wrapping a gift is just as therapeutic (in my opinion) and the end result so satisfying. I feel so proud when I’m done wrapping a present. I usually stare at it in awe for a few minutes before moving on to the next which makes me a slow gift wrapper. lol. But I really do enjoy the process.
I like to do the same wrapping paper across the board or have a theme, I usually go for a homey and traditional look, big surprise there, lol. So far this has been my favorite look.

I found the paper in Michael's and the ribbon in Homegoods. I also love a repeated print. The Enchanted Home makes the most beautiful wrapping, seriously, it looks like wallpaper.
In the past, I really enjoyed making big, poofy bows but this year I mostly did a simple bow a la shoelace and I am loving the simplicity. But if you are wanting to make an elaborate bow, this video here helped me out a lot.
For fancy, shmancy gift wrapping paper, I go to Paper Source. They always have the prettiest papers. For more affordable gift wrap, my go-to’s are Marshall’s, TJ Maxx and Homegoods.
Sure, all that beautiful #wrappingpaper will be torn apart by tiny munchkins and some bigger munchkins, but imagine how gorgeous they'll all look under your #Christmas tree. And some of us really appreciate a nicely wrapped gift because it shows that you took effort and thought into it.
